Math center hours:

Homework:
I will assign homework on a daily basis. Some of this homework is to be turned in and graded. For most homework problems (and tests and quizzes), a complete solution consists of not only the answer but all the work required to get the answer. This is considered a bare minimum of homework to complete. You should also do more of the problems in the book on your own. Late homework will not be accepted. I will drop 10% of the homework scores when computing grades. There will also be several "projects" assigned as well (using Maple).
Work expected:
This is a very difficult class. Expect to put in lots of time. You will be expected to keep up with the material by reading the book and doing homework. (Do not forget to read the book!)
Tests and Grades:
There will be several in class exams (see schedule below).
15% Homework
15% Projects
40% Test 1 June 24
Test 2 July 22
30% Final Friday Aug 9, 7:30-9:30AM
Grades will be assigned approximately on the scale
 85-88 B+72-75 C+60-62 D+
93-100 A80-84 B67-71 C50-59 D0-49 E
89-92 A-76-79 B-63-66 C-
I may slightly adjust this scale at the end of the semester (in your favor only).
