\begin{description}

\item[{\bf Instructor:}]  Blake Thornton, Building 122 (room \#102), 581-4027

There may be a shortage in the bookstore.

\item[{\bf Prerequisites:}] Math 1010, Chapter 0 of text.
Are you in the right class?

\item[{\bf Class is Full?:}]
There are two sections with seats open (as of Friday morning):
Section 7 meets 2-2:50 in AEB 110 MWF(class number 13724),
and Section 20 which meets in Bountiful 6:30-8 MW.

\item[{\bf Course Description:}] Chapters 1-6 of text.

\item[{\bf Calculator:}]
You will need a calculator with at least exponential, logarithm, and $y^x$
functions.
Graphing and financial calculators are nice, but not necessary.
You are responsible for know how your calculator works.

\item[{\bf Tutoring:}]
There is free tutoring available in room 101 of building 129
from 8:30-5 Monday-Thursday and 8:30-2:30 Friday.
You can also find a tutor at the Tutoring Center in the
Student Services Building.

\item[{\bf Homework:}]
Homework will not be collected, but it must be completed daily in order
to learn the material.
Homework is assigned for every section.
You should consider this as a suggested minimum number of problems to do,
you may need to do more.

\item[{\bf Grades/Tests:}]
There will be 7 in class exams (every two weeks), and a comprehensive final.
The tests will emphasize the material covered since the last test,
but anything we have covered is fair game.
We will usually have a quick review near the end of the class the meeting
before a test.

\item[{\bf Pet Peeves:}]
These are some things that will really bug me if you do them:
\begin{enumerate}
\item Pens on exams, especially red ones.
\item Missing an exam without notifying me beforehand.
\end{enumerate}
