\item[{\bf Withdrawal Policy:}]  The last day to withdraw easily is Feb 14.

\item[{\bf Prerequisites:}] At least a C in Math 101

\item[{\bf  Pretest:}]  I will give you a pretest on Wednesday Jan 8 which I will give back to you on Friday.
This  will not affect your grade but is to let you know if you are in the right class.
If you do poorly you should consider moving to math 101.

\item[{\bf Course Description:}] We will cover chapters 1-3, 7-9 of the text.  Chapter P is considered a prerequisite.

\item[{\bf Tutoring:}] Free tutoring is available in room 241 of Building 129 (East of JWB.)

\item[{\bf Homework:}] Homework is assigned every day, although it will not 
be collected or graded.
But the weekly quizzes will be similar if not identical to the homework assigned.

\item[{\bf Graphing Calculator}]  You will need a graphing calculator for this class.
You are required to know how to use the calculator for the homework, quizzes and tests.

\item[{\bf Grades:}]  There will be two in class exams (50 minutes), given on the Fridays below.
Starting on Friday, Jan 17, when there is not a test on Friday, there will be a 10 minute quiz at the end of the hour.
This means there are 7 quizzes.
You may drop your 2 worst quiz scores but you cannot make up a quiz (if you miss it you get a zero, which will hopefully be dropped).
