I will assign homework on a daily basis.
Most homework is not to be turned in, but if it is not done, you can expect to do poorly in this class.
The homework assigned is to be considered a bare minimum of homework that you should do.
A students will generally do nearly every homework problem in the exercise sections.
Occasionally, I may give assignments that will be turned in and graded (and scored as if it were a quiz).
Tests and Grades:
There will be three in class exams (see schedule below) and several quizzes.
There will generally be one quiz each week and should reflect what you have done in homework.
I will drop one quiz score when computing grades.

Pet Peeves:
Try not to miss an exam.
If you have to miss an exam, make sure you talk to me about it well in advance (1 week).
Do not use a pen on an exam, especially a red one.
Do not think you can get an A or B without doing the work and studying hard every week.
