Text:Penny, Linear Algebra
Prerequisites: Math 266 (Principles of Mathematics).
Classroom:
We will be sharing the room RH315. We will meet in RH315 on Fridays and in RH142 on Mondays. Wednesdays will likely alternate between these rooms.
Tutoring:
There is free math tutoring available in Ritter 1. When I find out the hours, I will let everyone know.
Homework:
I will assign homework on a daily basis. Most homework is not to be turned in, but if it is not done, you can expect to do poorly in this class. The homework assigned is to be considered a bare minimum of homework that you should do. A students will generally do nearly every homework problem in the exercise sections.
Occasionally, I may give assignments that will be turned in and graded (and scored as if it were a quiz).
Tests and Grades:
There will be three in class exams (see schedule below) and several quizzes. There will generally be one quiz each week and should reflect what you have done in homework. I will drop one quiz score when computing grades.
